Job Description:
We are looking for a creative and reliable 2D artist and animator to help us create game animations for an educational game for children. The characters will appear in fun mini-games like tug of war, arm wrestling, boat racing, and running.
You will be responsible for drawing the characters, rigging them for animation in Unity, and creating simple animations (like pulling, cheering, running, etc.) so our Unity developers can use them easily in the game.
Responsibilities:
- Design and draw characters (two “teams” with different looks)
- Create sprite sheets and slice them properly for use in Unity
- Rig the characters using Unity’s 2D Animation system (bones and weights)
- Animate actions such as idle, getting ready, pulling, running, rowing, and celebrating
- Set up the characters as Unity prefabs and link to Animator Controller
- Organize assets with clean folder structure and proper naming for easy reuse
Ideal Skills:
- Able to draw cute and expressive 2D characters
- Has experience animating in Unity using bones
- Understands how to prepare assets for game developers
- Good communication, organized work style, and ability to meet deadlines
