ROLE:
Assistant Portfolio Manager, Multi Asset, is responsible for supporting the management of portfolios within the coverage of the Multi Asset team, abiding by the investment process, and is jointly accountable for the team’s portfolio performance. He/she is responsible to manage the scorecard, monitor markets and related indicators, allocate to funds and/or sub-managers (both internal and external), run projects related to and prepare reports regarding the performance of multi asset and offshore funds on a quarterly basis or as stipulated by the firm.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
From a portfolio asset allocation perspective, Multi Asset is the layer above individual asset class strategies. The Multi Asset team allocates across funds and/or sub-managers – these may be internal or external. This is a Portfolio Management position with a number of key responsibilities, including:
- Supporting the management of Multi Asset portfolios, in terms of maintaining the tactical asset allocation (“TAA”) scorecard, its implementation, and reviewing performance, both for global and local multi-asset funds.
- Provide support to Head of Multi Asset in managing investment mandate issued by clients.
- Provides market outlook and scorecard strategy & economic model regarding Multi-asset investment strategies.
- External funds and sub-managers fall under the Platform Solutions unit of Multi Asset. This position is responsible for reviewing funds and/or sub-managers, in terms of monitoring performance and strategy to be align with the regulatory and client mandate, and periodically reviewing and updating the investment mandate for sub-managers
- Provide support to Head of Multi Asset in conducting regular reviews meetings with sub-managers and recommending any necessary actions to achieve and exceed the team’s portfolio performance objectives.
- Manage and deliver project-based work including
- Liaising with Client Portfolio Manager to manage requests, build solutions and/or respond to issues raised by clients
- Reviewing instruments, asset classes, funds, strategies or managers for use in Multi Asset portfolios.
- Evaluate the overall clients’ portfolios and provides attribution analysis/performance reports to clients on timely basis
