AUTOMATION ENGINEER
This position reports to the Engineering Supervisor and is based at Integrated Healthcare Indonesia (IHI) site – Pasar Rebo, Jakarta.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for leading automation projects, designing and maintaining automation systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the company’s vision of smart and digitalized operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in mechatronics or electrical engineering, with a solid track record in automation within pharmaceutical, consumer, or OTC manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities

Project Management
- Contribute to innovation and digitalization through Smart Operations.
- Lead and participate in automation-related projects, ensuring on-time and in-budget delivery.
- Maintain project documentation including deviation reports and change management records.

Automation System Design & Management
- Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider).
- Troubleshoot issues involving transmitters, photo sensors, temperature and level controls.

Mechanical Troubleshooting
- Handle mechanical failures and minor stoppages involving pumps, bearings, pneumatic systems, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, etc.

Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders.
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively in English.

Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with Category 3 machine safety (PLd) per ISO 13849-1&2:2008.
- Follow e-CMMS (electronic-Computerized Maintenance Management System) standards and practices.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering within a pharmaceutical, consumer, or OTC manufacturing site.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems and electronic control components.
- Experience with SCADA systems in automated processes.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Good documentation and reporting abilities.
- Willingness to work under pressure and perform overtime when needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with various PLC platforms: Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider.
- Experience in smart manufacturing or digital transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with global or regional teams.
- Strong managerial and leadership potential.
