Food Preparation & Production

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Western dishes according to Pullman standards and guest expectations.

  • Ensure consistent taste, texture, and presentation of all menu items.

  • Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs to Sous Chef.

  • Coordinate with service teams to ensure timely and efficient service.

Team Supervision

  • Supervise and guide Commis and Kitchen Helpers in your section.

  • Delegate tasks and monitor performance to ensure smooth operations.

  • Support the Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen activities.

Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).

  • Take immediate corrective action when hygiene or quality standards are not met.

Menu Development & Innovation

  • Assist in developing and testing new Western menu items.

  • Contribute ideas for seasonal or promotional menus, maintaining a balance between creativity and cost control.

Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Monitor food wastage and portion control.

  • Ensure efficient use of ingredients and resources within the section.


Job Description


As a Chef de Partie – Western Cuisine, you will be responsible for leading a section of the kitchen dedicated to Western culinary offerings. You will ensure high-quality food production, consistency in taste and presentation, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards. You will also play an active role in training and mentoring junior team members.


Qualifications


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Demi Chef or CDP in a 4 or 5-star hotel or reputable standalone restaurant.

  • Strong knowledge of Western cuisine, including classical and modern techniques.

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.

  • Good communication and leadership skills.

  • Passionate, creative, and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
