Qualification:
- High school or vocational school graduate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a cook in a café or restaurant.
- Skilled in cooking techniques and food presentation.
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP is a plus).
- Experienced in maintaining cleanliness of work area and kitchen equipment.
- Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Disciplined, punctual, and adheres to work schedules.
- Physically fit and able to work long hours or in shifts.
Job Desc:
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
