About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Country Sales Manager to lead and expand our commercial operations in Indonesia. With a current sales team of six and an annual sales portfolio exceeding €1 million, the role is pivotal in driving profitable growth and elevating our brands — Formica, Fenix, and Homapal — to achieve €10 million in net sales.
As a key member of the Asia Commercial Organization, you will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with the CFO, Marketing, HR, and Operations Directors across the region. The role requires both strategic leadership and strong execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage Commercial Performance
- Lead and oversee the sales function with full P&L ownership to achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to shape product positioning and business plans.
- Drive operational efficiency by enhancing sales processes and ensuring alignment with marketing, supply chain, and production.
- Define KPIs, dashboards, and action plans to track and guide execution.
2. Market Expansion
- Conduct market mapping and segmentation to identify growth opportunities and margin potential.
- Analyze decision-making structures within key accounts to refine sales approaches.
- Develop new business opportunities through partnerships, new channels, and key account acquisition.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with distributors, contractors, architects, designers, and end users.
- Act as a senior contact for major accounts and support the sales team in complex negotiations and strategic deals.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to ensure alignment with company goals and performance excellence.
- Foster a high-performance culture by providing direction, training, and career development opportunities.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Fluent in English.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in sales or business development.
- Proven track record in the home equipment, interior decoration, or building materials sector.
- Prior leadership experience in a sizeable, multinational, or multicultural business environment.
- Experience in business development and market expansion initiatives.
