Job Descriptions
- Translate creative/strategic briefs into compelling content copies and scripts (based on editorial planning).
- Produce and create content across multiple formats:
- Video content (TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts style)
- Carousel/visual storytelling (for Instagram & X)
- Handle light post-production editing using simple tools (CapCut for videos, Canva for carousels).
- Ensure daily content output of minimum 2 pieces/day across social media platforms.
- Collaborate with Creative Strategist/Lead to maintain storytelling quality, relevance, and alignment with Kitabisa’s mission.
- Experiment with new formats and styles — you’ll be encouraged to explore fresh ideas, test unconventional approaches, and push creative boundaries in social media content.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, especially on TikTok and Instagram, and apply them to our content. Conduct content creation in the field when needed (e.g., visiting beneficiaries, street interviews, event coverage).

Work Environment
- Will work closely with a Creative Strategist (who is also a content writer/creator). Each of you will be responsible for producing at least 2 content pieces per day.
- Content creation happens in two main settings: At the desk
- editorial-type content, such as creative writing, storytelling, or social commentary. In the field
- journalism-style content, experimental TikTok formats, street interviews, or documenting beneficiaries’ stories.
- The core focus is to create impactful storytelling that:
- Captures real impact and human stories.
- Explains missions and social issues with empathy and clarity.
- Handles sensitive topics responsibly while staying true to Kitabisa’s values.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must include a portfolio. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered for the next stage.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in content creation, social media, creative copywriting, or related fields (agency/digital media experience is a plus).
- Strong storytelling and writing skills (new journalism, slow journalism, interview-based content).
- Hands on skills in basic editing tools: CapCut, Canva (bonus if familiar with other editing software).
- Comfortable producing content both in the studio, in the field, and can also be a video talent.
- Familiar with TikTok, Instagram, and X trends; able to adapt storytelling formats to each platform.
- Has a personal content creation project (e.g., personal channel, micro-content creator, or community initiative) that shows creativity and initiative is also a plus.
- Creative, proactive, and collaborative personality with courage to explore new content formats.
- Passionate about social causes, humanity, and Kitabisa’s mission.
