About this opportunity:
We are seeking an accomplished Government & Industry Relations (GIR) professional to shape a favorable policy and regulatory environment for Ericsson and our customers. Through thought leadership, strategic influence, and trusted advisory, you will proactively engage with governments, regulators, and industry organizations to advance ICT and trade policy objectives.
What you will do:
- Engagement & Influence: Build and sustain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, government authorities, regulators, embassies, trade bodies, and business councils.
- Representation: Serve as Ericsson’s voice in prominent platforms such as ICT forums, business chambers, trade and export organizations, and industry councils.
- Strategic Networking: Actively participate in and contribute to Ericsson’s global and regional influencing networks.
- Policy & Regulatory Insight: Contribute to the creation of a forward-looking regulatory and policy outlook to support Ericsson’s strategy process.
- Position Development: Support the formulation, refinement, and communication of Ericsson’s policy positions on legislation, regulation, trade policy, and relevant standardization matters.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and leverage policy and regulatory developments as business enablers or risk mitigators.
- Internal Advocacy: Promote awareness and understanding of regulatory and policy impacts within Ericsson, strengthening the organization’s GIR capability.
The skills you bring:
- Education: Post-secondary degree in a related discipline.
- Experience: 5-10 Years of Experience across Governmental Relations.
- Industry Expertise: Broad knowledge of the ICT sector, with strong insight into market dynamics.
- Policy Mastery:
- Deep understanding of national, regional, and global policy, legislation, and regulatory processes.
- Ability to assess how policy and regulatory trends affect both Ericsson and its customers.
- Influencing Skills: Proven success in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and representing corporate interests to governmental and industry bodies.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate regulatory developments into commercial opportunities and risk management strategies.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales compliance processes, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations effectively.
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
