Role Summary
Technosoft is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Finance & Accounting to lead and professionalize its finance function across a group of 9 international entities—3 operational, with the remaining engaged in tax reporting, payroll & compliance activities. This role will be instrumental in bringing structure, clarity, and accountability to financial operations while closely partnering with a visionary, non-financial CEO-owner who plays a strong and active role in strategic and operational decisions.
This role demands a strong, proactive finance leader capable of managing complexity across countries, designing and enforcing sound processes, and serving as a trusted business partner to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as the financial right-hand to the CEO, delivering actionable insights to guide decision-making, especially where accounting/tax knowledge is limited.
- Drive end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range modeling to support sustainable business growth.
- Develop project-based cost structures and analysis to support investment and resource decisions.
- Ensure full financial visibility across all subsidiaries, both active and inactive.
Accounting Oversight & Operational Control
- Lead day-to-day financial operations across the group, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Establish and maintain consistent accounting standards and practices across jurisdictions, tailored for varying activity levels of each entity.
- Coordinate timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Manage intercompany consolidation, reconciliations, and eliminations with a disciplined and scalable approach.
Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
- Ensure timely and compliant tax filings across all jurisdictions, with close coordination of local accountants and advisors.
- Oversee corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax matters for both operating and non-operating entities.
- Implement effective transfer pricing policies and documentation across the group.
- Prior experience in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Australia (e.g., Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Lithuania, Germany, Australia, Japan) will be a strong asset.
Intercompany & Group Structure Management
- Design streamlined, compliant intercompany workflows that minimize risk and optimize financial visibility.
- Manage the flow of intercompany funding, cross-charges, and loan arrangements.
Treasury & Working Capital
- Monitor and optimize cash flow across active and inactive entities.
- Manage bank relationships, multi-currency exposures, and cross-border liquidity.
- Design lightweight treasury strategies for non-operational entities with ongoing tax/reporting needs.
Process & Systems Enhancement
- Lead process automation and control improvements across the finance function.
- Support and drive enhancements to ERP and financial systems to meet evolving compliance and operational needs.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
- Develop and lead a strong finance and accounting team, centered in Jakarta, with reach across international operations.
- Foster a culture of discipline, trust, and excellence, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Be a translator between financial rigor and entrepreneurial vision.
