Role overview:
The Data & Analytics (D&A) Manager will lead the GBS Analytics department’s operations, driving strategic direction and fostering a culture of excellence among a team of data professionals. The manager will oversee resource alignment to meet business demands, ensuring the delivery of outstanding analytics services. With right qualifications, the manager will act as a capability lead for Data Engineers, Architects or Data Scientists. Through effective demand and capacity management, will uphold the department’s commitment to excellence, collaborating with global GBS D&A as well as DI&A Hub stakeholders to achieve success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your ‘day to day’
- Manage and guide a newly formed Data&Analytics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee GBS data architecture, data engineering or data science capability, analyzing incoming demand and matching it with available skills or hiring externally as needed.
- Represent the GBS D&A department in the location, liaising with peer managers across locations and maintaining regular contact with the GBS D&A
- Management and heads of Data Engineering and Data Architecture Communities of Practice.
- Instill the organization’s culture and ways of working in Jakarta, ensuring clarity on objectives and expectations. Drive team cohesion, productivity, and motivation in a new operational setting.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by actively engaging the team with the Data Engineering and Data Architecture Communities of Practice, ensuring access to the latest industry knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions for implementation in projects.
- Contribute to the D&A department’s strategic direction, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Who we’re looking for
- You have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with at least 3 years in a people management role.
- You have proven track record of managing technical teams, ideally in data engineering, data architecture or data science.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- You have experience in building and nurturing organizational culture, ideally in a startup or new location context.
- You have expertise in leading teams through change, particularly in establishing new operations or locations.
- You are eager to mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and skill enhancement.
- You have the necessary flexibility to respond to evolving business needs, technological advancements, or cultural dynamics.
