This is an onsite Mining Consultant role supporting our Fleet Management Solution’s (Pitram) clients. Oversee implementation projects. Train customers & provide technical support. BETA test new products. Assist with product demonstrations & events.

About The Opportunity
As the Technical Specialist, Mine Control, you will play a key support role for customers of our fleet management and mine production system, Micromine Pitram. Being at the forefront of client interactions, your work will solidify customer relationships and ensure their satisfaction. This position will be working on a mine site with a roster of FIFO Jakarta to Timika, 6 weeks on , 2 weeks off.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, Mine Control (Americas), your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with all aspects of Micromine Pitram implementations
- Providing telephone, email, and face-to-face support for licence holders
- Conducting training with clients and in-house staff (in-person and online)
- Ensuring enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised and resolved
- BETA testing new versions and products to check improved functionality
- Supporting the Sales team during technical demonstrations, trade shows, and other events
About You
You will have proven technical support experience within the mining industry.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in either Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
- Experience with network and database technologies (e.g. SQL, Oracle)
- 2-5 years of experience within an operational exploration or mining environment, preferably underground mines
- The ability to travel, nationally or internationally, to manage Micromine Pitram implementations
- Verbal and written proficiency in both English and Bahasa
- Experience with a Fleet Management Solution is a bonus
- Experience in a FIFO environment is preferred
