Job Description
Reporting to the VP Commercial, Senior Strategy and Growth Manager (SGM) is a dynamic role that will be deeply involved in making strategic decisions in the verticals where Traveloka operates. The primary responsibility of the SGM will be leading a team in vertical strategy formulation and optimization efforts across domains and locales, which will involve the development and implementation of the necessary strategic frameworks, governance routines, and analytic tools that will enable the SGM to deliver actionable recommendations to achieve the financial outcomes.
Key day-to-day responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Define and drive the execution of overarching vertical and country strategic growth framework
Identify pockets of opportunities from demand generation, fulfillment, and supply improvement perspectives
Formulate recommendations for marketing and commercial terms, by working with the respective regional marketing and commercial teams
Define strategy to realize and execute financial goals consistently, working cross-functionally with with Marketing, Commercial, Pricing, Finance, and other functional areas as required
Lead growth and revenue optimization strategy for 3rd party aggregators and channel managers
Own financial goals for a market, i.e., keeping track of current achievement against target and identifying key levers of growth for the market and drive the implementation of the levers by either influencing other functional areas or executing directly
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to execute on strategic priorities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Finance, or any other quantitative fields, or other relevant fields from reputable universities with (minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 is a plus). An MBA or Master's Degree in the aforementioned field is a plus.
7 years or more of working experience
Experience in the travel industry, other technology companies, or global consulting firms is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset and an excellent understanding of the P&L and key levers to drive both top and bottom line growth.
Must have a high level of analytical skills, with an ability to distill information and uncover insights from a variety of source
Have experience in managing complex catalog through both direct and 3rd party supply aggregation on the marketplace platform
Strongly results-oriented and operates with a non-rule-based mindset
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
Demonstrate ability to proactively collaborate with cross-geography and cross-functional teams, and stakeholders at all level
Excellent communication skill in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum and social skills.
A quick learner to absorb new knowledge in the fast-changing and dynamic industry, and synthesize learnings into strategic growth levers that generate tangible business impacts.
Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams, including direct people management and capability development.
