Main Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate quantity takeoff and prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on design drawings and technical documents.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify required resources.
- Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure cost-effective specifications aligned with project timelines.
- Support tender processes by providing complete pricing data and documentation.
- Monitor project costs during the early execution phase, identify budget deviations, and assist in recommending corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of historical cost databases and estimation benchmarks for continuous improvement.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System by identifying, documenting, and controlling risks related to cost estimation activities.
- Encourage all team members to understand and comply with the requirements of the Integrated Management System.
- Participate in the investigation of any incident or near-miss related to project cost and execution by providing accurate and fact-based reports.
- Support information security controls to protect confidential data such as project cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing references.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
- 3–5 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying.
- Proficient in quantity surveying methods, BOQ preparation, and standard measurement systems.
- Skilled in using cost estimation software and understanding market prices for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Well-organized, with good time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, and proactive in proposing cost-effective solutions.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, Indonesian National Standards (SNI), and value engineering is a plus.
