Responsibilities :
- Waste Assessment: Conduct waste audits to assess the types and quantities of waste generated by the organization.
- Waste Reduction Planning: Develop and implement waste reduction strategies to minimize waste generation through source reduction, reuse, and recycling.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal waste management regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.
- Recycling Programs: Design and manage recycling programs, including the collection and processing of recyclable materials.
- Waste Disposal: Coordinate proper disposal of non-recyclable waste, hazardous materials, and electronic waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Waste Collection Contracts: Manage contracts with waste collection and disposal service providers, negotiating terms, evaluating service quality, and optimizing cost-efficiency.
