BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

ROLE PURPOSE :
Business Unit Manager (BUM) is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and financial performance of a specific business unit (CERDAS, PRESTASI, etc.) within Save the Children Indonesia. He/she ensures that the unit meets Country’s Strategic Plan (CSP) in terms of revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
The BUM leads a team, drives business development, and aligns unit objectives with Save the Children’s overall mission and vision.
KEY AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Strategic & Business Development
- Develop and implement business unit strategies in alignment with CSP.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive advantages.
- Identify the right partners and target audience.
- Create growth strategies to drive revenue and market share.
Operations & Performance Management
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Optimize processes, resource allocation, and cost management.
- Implement performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the unit’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor P&L (Profit & Loss), costs, and revenue streams.
- Prepare financial and performance reports for senior management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve business objectives.
- Recruit, train, and develop employees to enhance skills and productivity.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, clients, and partners.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, sales, finance, HR) to drive success.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact business performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Problem-solving mindset with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in relevant business and management software tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in business development and possess strong program management.
- Knowledge of fundraising and NGOs.
