- Food Production: Prepare, bake, and present a variety of bakery items, following recipes and ensuring high quality.
- Quality Control: Maintain consistent standards for taste, texture, and appearance of baked goods.
- Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food hygiene and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain bakery equipment effectively.
- Staff Supervision: May supervise and train junior staff (commis chefs, etc.) within the bakery section.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and ensure sufficient supplies are available.
- Creative Contribution: Contribute ideas for new products and menu items.
- Collaboration: Work efficiently with other kitchen staff and the head baker or pastry chef.
