We are looking for an experienced professional to fill the position of Chief Engineer, who will play a key role in overseeing the technical operations of our existing resort, while also supporting and supervising the construction of a new resort currently under development.
This role requires someone with strong expertise in MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), facilities maintenance, and hands-on experience with construction projects from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team to support daily resort operations
- Ensure the performance and maintenance of resort utilities (electricity, HVAC, plumbing, generator, fire safety systems, etc.)
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and corrective actions
- Provide technical support for the ongoing resort development project
- Coordinate with the project team, contractors, and consultants when required
- Oversee safety standards, energy efficiency, and compliance with technical regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum D3/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of work experience in engineering (MEP, Civil, and Operational Engineering)
- Prior involvement in construction projects from the ground up is a strong advantage
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer in a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort is highly preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and utility control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
