The Spa Manager ensures the smooth operation of the Spa, providing guests with excellent service and information of all spa services and retail products.
What will I be doing?
As the Spa Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Ensures that Conrad standards are met or exceeded at all times, in the spas activities.
- To ensure that Conrad Brand Standard are implemented and alive in the department.
- To ensure that each spa section is managed by a supervisor and team, fully aware and accountable for the section’s profitability.
- To monitor all costs, recommend measures to control them, and implement these measures after review with parties concerned.
- To work closely with store/purchasing department to ensure consistent supplies of all products, at the best possible cost for the desired quality.
- To closely monitor productivity levels in each section and to take immediate corrective action if necessary.
- To carry out regular inventories of operating equipment, and take appropriate actions.
- To co-ordinate the formulation of the revenue plan, expenses, manning, operating equipment and FF&E requirements in line with the compilation of the Business Plan.
- To assist with the planning and implementation of the resort capital plan wherever necessary
- Fully embrace the resort’s Vision and Operating Philosophy concepts for oneself, team, peers, and colleagues.
- To ensure that all team members are aware of the objectives of the property (in all areas of the Balanced Score Card) and prepare the P & L report on monthly basis and present it during P & L meeting.
- To lead by example at all times.
- To provide direction and support to teams on a daily basis.
- To keep excellent relationships with team, peers, and all other colleagues of the hotel.
- To develop all team members of the department with appropriate training and coaching, either directly, or through appropriate supervisors.
- To ensure that training needs are identified, addressed, and that appropriate action is taken, results monitored and training records accurately kept.
- To ensure punctuality, grooming and hygiene of all team members.
- To ensure that succession planning for the department is in place.
- To conduct temperature checks on a quarterly basis and yearly PDRs for all team members of the department.
- To assign responsibilities to team members and to check their performance periodically.
- To keep all job descriptions of the department up to date and review them in the event of
Recruitment or change of status.
- To monitor recruitment to ensure the highest possible standards.
- To conduct departmental meetings for all teams, on a regular basis (minimum once per month).
- To conduct daily operations briefing with direct reports/supervisor

- Knowledgeable of all spa treatments, fitness services and retail products available in the Spa & Fitness department.
