- Install and configure on-premise database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Monitor and optimize database performance, storage, and resource usage. Implement and manage backup and Disaster Recovery strategies using local infrastructure.
- Ensure database security, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as patching, indexing, and integrity checks.
- Design and maintain database architecture, including replication and clustering.
- Collaborate with system administrators to manage server hardware and OS-level configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in database administration or a related role.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (Ms SQL Server and Oracle)
- Proficiency in SQL and database scripting.
- Experience with database management tools and monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security protocols.
- Understanding of database design and normalization.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
