Role Overview
Mint Source is hiring an Email Strategist for an email marketing team supporting DTC brands. You’ll shape lifecycle and campaign strategy, turn data into action, and keep a steady cadence of smart tests that move revenue and retention. You’ll collaborate with account leads, creatives, and client stakeholders, communicating proactively while working mostly independently. Success looks like clear lifts in performance, a well-prioritized roadmap, and clients who stay because they see results.
What You’ll Do
- Develop lifecycle strategy across welcome, browse/cart abandon, post‑purchase, and win‑back flows in Klaviyo to drive retention and LTV
- Plan and launch weekly campaigns with clear hypotheses, priority segments, send timing, and goals to lift engagement and sales
- Build smart segmentation and personalization using behavioral, transactional, and predictive data in Klaviyo to increase relevance
- Design and run an A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, creative, timing, offers, flow logic), document learnings, and scale winners
- Audit accounts for deliverability, list hygiene, and template systems, implementing capture, sunset, and compliance best practices
- Brief and partner with copy/design to create on-brand, direct-response emails and templates that convert
- Analyze dashboards and cohort trends; translate insights into next steps and share clear updates and recaps via Slack
- Organize work in Clickup, manage timelines, and prioritize the highest-ROI tasks with minimal oversight
- Collaborate on calendar planning, offer strategy, and onsite capture improvements to grow quality subscribers
- Maintain a backlog of new ideas and tests; proactively pitch opportunities based on data, seasonality, and market trends
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of email marketing experience for DTC brands, owning strategy and execution end to end to hit targets faster
- Deep Klaviyo expertise across flows, campaigns, segmentation, integrations, and reporting for speed, accuracy, and scale
- Direct response mindset and strong copy instincts to turn ideas into messages that convert while staying on brand
- Analytical, hypothesis-driven approach to testing to make confident, data-backed decisions
- Solid grasp of deliverability, list hygiene, consent, and inboxing best practices to keep performance stable
- Thoughtful, methodical operator with creative problem-solving to balance rigor with fresh ideas
- Proactive communicator comfortable working 80% independently and 20% collaboratively via Slack and Clickup to keep stakeholders aligned
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and first-party data basics to power better segmentation and lifecycle strategy
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- New ideas and tests shipped monthly, with documented learnings and adoption rate of winning variants
- Growth in email-attributed revenue from campaigns and flows alongside lifts in open, click, and conversion rates
- Client retention and satisfaction, reflected in renewals, positive feedback, and on-time deliverables
- List growth and quality, including capture rate, active subscriber mix, and low complaint/unsubscribe rates
- Deliverability health, monitored through bounce and spam complaint trends and domain reputation signals
