About the Role
Responsible for providing technical medical expertise for underwriting decisions and resolution of customer enquiries and claims and managing healthcare related services provided to policy holders- Monitor, review and evaluate service standard and TAT (Turn Around Time) in Underwriting process for Individual, Employee Benefit, and Reinstatement Process
- Manage risk selection and ensure risk selection activities adherence to underwriting authorities and guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders, internally and externally to ensure that the company’s objectives are being met.
- Maintain communication with Policy Member Maintenance, Corporate Solution, Broker and Sales regarding Employee Benefit Underwriting cases.
- Work with product development team to ensure that the underwriting assumptions and practices are in line with the company’s risk policies and guidelines.
- Perform coordination in internal Underwriting Division regarding product development (test scope, test case and UAT Control).
- Review and develop process and rules in Underwriting to comply with the company’s risk management guidelines as well as with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform as a medical advisor for Underwriting and Re-Underwrite Claim cases.
- Managing evaluation, partnership and communication with hospitals / clinics provider and reassurance.
- Maintain and review Underwriting’s Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and Guidelines, activity reports, and other performance data to measure underwriting productivity and goal achievement
