Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer / Drafter to join our team. This role will be responsible for transforming concepts into accurate, detailed design drawings, layouts, and presentations that meet client requirements while upholding our brand’s design standards. You will collaborate closely with our design team, project managers, and suppliers to ensure all drawings and plans are precise, practical, and ready for implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Development & Drafting
- Create 2D technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Develop 3D models and realistic visualizations to present concepts to clients.
- Prepare material boards, mood boards, and presentation layouts for client approval.
- Ensure designs align with project timelines, budgets, and functionality requirements.
2. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with senior designers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure designs are executed as planned.
- Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, and other trades for technical clarity.
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback from the team and clients.
3. Site Visits & Quality Control
- Conduct site measurements and surveys before starting design work.
- Review and check construction progress to ensure it matches design specifications.
- Suggest adjustments when necessary to maintain design integrity.
4. Research & Innovation
- Stay updated with design trends, materials, and drafting technologies.
- Source and recommend new finishes, furniture, and materials suitable for each project.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting and interior design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray/Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and materials.
- Ability to produce accurate drawings under tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of local materials and suppliers in Bali (or willingness to learn).
- Experience in both residential and commercial interior design projects.
- Basic project management and cost estimation skills.
Work Environment:
- Location: Bali (Office-based, with possible site visits)
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work if project requires)
- Collaboration: Works directly with design & project teams
