We are currently looking for an intern to join our Indonesia team and efforts.
Enviu is the expert in plastic prevention in Indonesia and beyond
Enviu is a worldwide impact-driven venture building studio. In Indonesia we run the Zero Waste program. The program aims to radically reduce plastic pollution by creating scalable reuse and refill solutions and using on the ground experience to drive a thriving reuse ecosystem. Currently we are building various zero waste ventures and performing multiple ecosystem activities. These include collaboration with governments to stimulate support for waste prevention, acting as a thought leader in relevant networks, and inspiration and awareness creation.
We are looking for support on our ecosystem activities and for an exciting new research project that brings together our experiences in building refill solutions in Indonesia and similar geographies. You will help collect and analyze data and support in the overall execution of various projects in close collaboration with the Enviu team and its partners.
About the job
You will be part of the Enviu team and based in Jakarta – Indonesia.
You will have the opportunity to support our team of refill experts by:
Identifying gaps and opportunities in the reuse/refill ecosystem through research and stakeholder engagement;
Implementing the ecosystem activities, including collecting data, writing reports and supporting in the completion of grant reporting;
Supporting in organizing a workshop to share our findings towards the end of 2025;
Collecting the data as part of our new research project, by organizing interviews, making detailed notes and analyzing the outcomes of the interviews;
Organising multiple Focus Group Discussions and documenting all data from the interviews and Focus Group Discussions;
Co-designing and co-developing reporting deliverables;
Supporting in preparing a communication strategy for the research results, including organizing a global webinar to share outcomes to relevant stakeholders in Q1 2026.
In particular you will:
Support our team of refill experts that is based both in Jakarta and in Rotterdam, the Netherlands;
Support our academic partner in the research activities;
Engage with our partners, being based in Kenya, Bangladesh and South Africa.
About you
We are looking for a devoted master’s student or a fresh graduate who:
has a technical or social science background;
has a strong affinity with circular economy, system change, energy transition and social entrepreneurship;
is structured and able to gather data from various different stakeholders;
has a critical and independent mindset;
is creative and able to develop basic communication strategies;
is adaptive in multicultural environments;
is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
has excellent communication skills;
enjoys working in a team;
is available for at least 6 months.
