The Support Engineer role will involve providing technical support for our stock brokerage daily operations. This will include a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues before they affect our production environment. In addition, this role will also be involved in troubleshooting and rectifying issues during market trading hours. You will be working closely together with our operational and engineering division and be an integral part of our fast growing stock brokerage team.
- Run daily procedures to ensure the customer and transaction data are accurate and ready for daily trading activity.
- Run daily procedures to ensure the system is up and running, ready for the daily trading activities.
- Monitor and respond to issues related to our core trading system especially during trading hours
- Assist back office / operation team in troubleshooting and reports
- Perform system maintenance and assist the engineering team during maintenance periods.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve issues and other enquiries.
Requirements
- Has experience in IT Operation for at least 3 years.
- Able to communicate clearly and well-structured.
- Understand how to make a clear Standard of Procedure (SOP).
- Availability to work in Shift working arrangement
- Excellent understanding of basic networking principles.
- Proficient in handling popular RDBMS databases such as MySQL/SQL Server/PostgreSQL.
- Experienced in working with Windows Servers
- Knowledge and/or previous experience in Financial Market or stock brokerage company is a big plus
