We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Key Account Manager to help strengthen our relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for growth across FLSmidth’s portfolio. This role focuses on short to medium-term sales planning, face-to-face client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategies that protect, grow, and diversify relationships with assigned customers
- Conduct face-to-face selling across multiple business lines to maximize wallet share and customer loyalty
- Identify equipment replacement and install base expansion opportunities across the FLSmidth portfolio
- Collaborate with Solution Specialists and Field Services Engineering to promote consumables and service offerings
- Engage Professional Services to support onsite customer needs and uncover Upgrade & Retrofit (U&R) opportunities
- Provide feedback on market pricing, localization strategies, and product competitiveness
- Drive customer satisfaction through timely problem resolution and high-quality service
- Advocate for a strong safety culture across all customer touchpoints
- Travel up to 70% as needed to meet clients and support strategic initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced knowledge in key account management, typically gained through a combination of education and hands-on experience
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects/processes with minimal supervision
- Skilled at coaching and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Strong commercial acumen and technical understanding of FLSmidth’s equipment and service portfolio
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to navigate difficult and complex challenges
