How you create impact
As the National Road Logistics Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our Road Logistics team. Your primary focus is to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustained profitability across domestic and cross-border transportation. You will lead strategic initiatives, manage resources efficiently, and ensure that our operational standards consistently meet or exceed expectations.
What we would like you to bring
Lead and manage day-to-day Road Logistics operations nationally, ensuring high performance and adherence to KPIs.
Oversee the structured rollout of our Centre of Excellence for Domestic and Cross-Border Transport (where applicable), including haulage activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Develop and implement robust vendor management strategies to ensure service quality and cost control.
Align and optimize internal resource allocation across business activities for maximum service delivery.
Oversee the development and implementation of operational and reporting systems, including Transport Management Systems (TMS) and other digital tools.
Integrate automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational agility.
Review and refine operational policies, standards, and procedures in line with company goals and compliance requirements.
Ensure effective incident and crisis management protocols, including robust business continuity plans.
Monitor the department’s annual budget and implement corrective actions for any variances.
Drive initiatives that lead to revenue growth and improved profit margins.
Actively support business development by showcasing operational capabilities during client engagements.
Collaborate with sales and key account teams to develop and validate SOPs for new contracts.
Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and maintain high levels of service delivery.
Inspire and guide your team toward operational excellence, ensuring clarity of roles, ownership, and accountability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Champion a high-performance culture that prioritizes collaboration, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
What's in it for you
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in road logistics, with proven leadership in domestic and cross-border transport.
Strong knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS), automation, and digital transformation in logistics.
Experience managing large teams and national-level operations in a matrix or complex environment.
Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
