We’re looking for an Operations Executive with experience in the role, fluency in English, and a strong understanding of export-import processes.
Job Description:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of cargo shipments, including booking space on vessels, arranging transportation, and monitoring cargo movement.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with international regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates on the status of shipments, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless cargo movement and resolve operational challenges.
- Stay updated on customs regulations and requirements in different countries and ensure that all shipments are in compliance with these regulations.
- Utilize tracking systems and software to monitor the real-time location and status of cargo and take appropriate actions in case of delays or disruptions.
- Monitor operational costs and strive to optimize logistics processes to minimize expenses while maintaining service quality.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that cargo is handled, stored, and transported safely and securely.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address disruptions or emergencies during the transportation process.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on operational activities, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Keep abreast of international trade regulations, trade sanctions, and embargoes to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
