We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join our team at Sekolah Madania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language lessons to Primary School students, following the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) syllabus. This position requires a strong command of the English language and a passion for teaching young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the IB PYP syllabus.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular testing and feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the overall quality of the English curriculum.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to English language learning.
- Foster a love for reading and writing among students.
Requirements:
- Minimum TOEIC score of 605 or equivalent CEFR C1 level.
- Familiarity with the IB PYP syllabus and teaching methodologies.
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in an educational setting, preferably with young learners.
- Bachelor’s degree in English or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles.
- Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching approaches.
