General Description
Product Development Manager is responsible for managing product development projects from initiation to launch, ensuring they align with company objectives and general trade market needs. This role focuses on execution excellence, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that product launches are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned product development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Translate product strategy into detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct market research to validate product concepts and assess feasibility.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to support launch execution.
- Monitor progress of product projects, resolving issues and escalating risks as necessary.
- Ensure all product developments comply with regulatory and company quality standards.
- Support cost optimization initiatives for existing product lines.
- Report progress, risks, and outcomes to the Senior Manager and leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in FMCG product development, preferably in the General trade segment.
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of market research, consumer insights, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results under tight timelines.
