PLEASE NOTE THIS VACANCY is ONLY OPEN FOR NATIONALS OF INDONESIA

The Position:

The Project Management Analyst, Gender-based Violence (GBV) will manage donor-funded project(s) relating to GBV. You will contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring the achievement of outputs and financial delivery of the project(s).

You will report to the Programme Specialist, GBV/Adolescent Health.

How you can make a difference:

UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. UNFPA’s strategic plan (2022-2025), reaffirms the relevance of the current strategic direction of UNFPA and focuses on three transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violence and harmful practices. These results capture our strategic commitments on accelerating progress towards realizing the ICPD and SDGs in the Decade of Action leading up to 2030. Our strategic plan calls upon UN Member States, organizations and individuals to “build forward better”, while addressing the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on women’s and girls’ access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, recover lost gains and realize our goals.

In a world where fundamental human rights are at risk, we need principled and ethical staff, who embody these international norms and standards, and who will defend them courageously and with full conviction.

UNFPA is seeking candidates that transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results; we need staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them and who commit to deliver excellence in programme results.

Job Purpose:

Working within the Country Office (CO) environment, you will provide coordination and administrative support for donor-funded project(s) in the area of GBV, under the guidance of the Programme Specialist, within the policy and regulations of UNFPA. Your prime responsibility is to ensure that the project produces the results specified in the project document, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

You will monitor results achieved during implementation, guiding the appropriate application of systems and procedures, conduct analysis and assessment of political, social and economic trends, and developing enhancements as required to ensure the CO remains relevant with current thinking, innovation, and academic advances in the GBV issues and that elimination of GBV are adequately addressed at national and sub-national development frameworks and programmes in alignment with national and international standards.

This role will involve working closely with local communities, government authorities, civil societies, and partner organizations to strengthen advocacy efforts aimed at changing the adverse regulations and social norms; raising awareness, promoting the rights and well-being of individuals affected by GBV, particularly women and girls.

You would be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the implementation of GBV prevention and response activities, compiling and analysing information relevant to the UNFPA’s role in the country, drafting project documents and work plans.
