Position: Purchase & Cost Controller
Main Responsibilities:
1. Purchasing Activities
Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, price competitiveness, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain updated supplier database and relationships.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
2. Cost Control & Analysis
Monitor and analyze expenses related to purchasing and operations.
Track price fluctuations of goods and services to optimize cost efficiency.
Assist in preparing cost budgets and forecasts.
Review and control invoices, receipts, and payments related to purchases.
Highlight variances between budgeted and actual costs, and provide recommendations.
3. Inventory & Reporting
Coordinate with warehouse/inventory teams to ensure proper stock levels.
Verify the accuracy of stock records and reconcile discrepancies.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and cost performance.
Support financial audits and ensure proper documentation of purchases.
4. Coordination & Compliance
Work closely with the accounting and finance department for cost monitoring.
Collaborate with operations and other departments to understand purchasing needs.
Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and internal audit requirements.
Promote cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
5. Continuous Improvement
Develop strategies to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated with market trends and new supplier opportunities.
Support management in decision-making by providing accurate cost data.
