As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process while driving data analysis to support strategic decision-making in compensation and benefits. You will collaborate closely with the HR Operations Supervisor and Finance team to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Responsibility
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salary, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Calculate and report employee income tax (PPh 21) and ensure timely tax payments and annual tax form distribution (e.g., 1721-A1).
- Manage health insurance, BPJS, and any kind of employee benefit thins, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date employee data in the HRIS (e.g., Mekari Talenta) and ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
- Support payroll budgeting and cost forecasting together with the Finance team.
- Analyze payroll expenses and generate reports on salary trends, headcount costs, and tax obligations.
- Assist with payroll-related audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Reconcile payroll payments with the Finance team to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting.
- Handle employee inquiries related to salary, taxes, and benefits.
- Improve payroll systems and processes to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
Qualification
- 3–5 years of experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, with a strong background in payroll tax.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Deep knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, particularly PPh 21, BPJS contributions, and labor compliance.
- Experience in preparing and submitting SPT Masa and SPT Tahunan, including knowledge of e-SPT and DJP Online systems.
- Advanced proficiency using in Mekari Talenta.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with a strong sense of confidentiality and responsibility.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across HR, Finance, and external tax consultants/auditors.
- Experience with tax dispute handling or advisory (optional but preferred).
