Job Description
Strategic Tax Planning:
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position in alignment with business objectives.
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
Oversee all tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
Lead and manage tax audits, liaising with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and other regulatory authorities.
Handle tax dispute resolution in collaboration with external advisors.
Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and develop the tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Promote continuous learning and compliance best practices within the team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with finance, legal, and business teams to provide proactive tax advice on business activities and transactions.
Build strong relationships with external advisors and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in tax-related roles, with at least 5 years in managerial/leadership positions, preferably within multinational corporations.
Certified Brevet A, B, and C or equivalent tax certification is highly preferred.
Proven experience in:
Tax planning and strategy.
Taxation for Mergers & Acquisitions and Bonded Zone operations.
Managing tax audits, disputes, and negotiations with authorities.
In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, including VAT, Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing.
Familiarity with CoreTax or equivalent tax software.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, PSAK, and financial reporting standards.
