Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Local Sourcing Engineer to join our team in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing local suppliers, ensuring the best value in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. The role requires strong communication skills, fluency in English, and a solid understanding of technical procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop relationships with reliable local vendors and manufacturers for industrial, oil & gas, marine, and engineering-related products.
- Collect and analyze quotes, negotiate terms, and evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, and delivery.
- Conduct supplier visits and audits as needed to assess capabilities and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with internal procurement, sales, and technical teams to ensure sourcing aligns with project requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date records of supplier data, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Assist in cost-saving initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers or products.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, sourcing standards, and ethical practices.
