Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Storekeeper to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our inventory, maintaining storage areas, and ensuring the proper handling of goods. This role is crucial in supporting our operations and maintaining the highest standards of organization and efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock is maintained at all times
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods, verifying accuracy against purchase orders
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas, adhering to all relevant safety and hygiene standards
- Process requisitions and issue items to various departments in a timely manner
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all items, particularly those with specific temperature or environmental requirements
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory movements using our inventory management system
- Implement and follow safety and hygiene standards in all storage areas
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels
- Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend appropriate actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management or as a storekeeper, preferably in a warehouse or large-scale retail environment
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of proper storage techniques and handling procedures for various types of goods
- Understanding of safety and hygiene standards in storage environments
- Excellent record-keeping abilities and mathematical skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes
