Jakarta Strategy Experienced (Individual Contributor)
As a Strategic Qualitative Researcher, you will be focusing on delivering insights to the stakeholders through qualitative research methodology (such as FGD, IDI, etc.). The final goal is to provide an actionable plan/suggestion/strategy based on your findings in order tackle key issues and challenges raised by stakeholders.
Job Description
- Design and conduct end-to-end qualitative research (e.g. FGD, IDIs, ethnographic studies, etc.) to address key business questions in the gaming industry
- Oversee research execution across multiple markets and ensure consistency in methodology and quality
- Analyze qualitative data to identify patterns, themes, and actionable insights and synthesize findings into clear reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations) to ensure research addresses business needs
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors/freelancers when needed to ensure high-quality deliverable
Job Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in the market research industry or in a qualitative researcher role
- Deep expertise in qualitative research methodologies, with a strong track record of planning and executing impactful studies
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver projects successfully and independently
- Strong user engagement and empathy, with the ability to connect meaningfully with players to uncover their needs and pain points.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Bahasa and English along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Highly passionate about games with a good knowledge of the gaming industry in Indonesia; having a deeper curiosity for game products and the industry's best practices
