Tax Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager -with deep understanding of Indonesian Tax Laws and familiarity with types of taxes- to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing the group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual tax planning, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role involves directing various tax-related activities, managing tax audits, and engaging with stakeholders, including consultants, to collect data and escalate tax issues as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax planning for the group; including the Transfer Pricing requirements
- Direct a variety of tax-related activities in accordance with the overall tax strategy to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligation and objectives
- Manage the tax audit process, and engage with relevant stakeholders (including consultants) for data collection and to escalate tax issues in due course
- Evaluate the organization's current and proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations
- Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time
- Evaluate and provide advice on the automation of tax payments, reporting, and reconciliation processes and ensure that all tax obligations are settled timely
- Ensure to keep updated on the current Indonesian tax policies and analyze the possible outcome to the company
- Foster and manage relationships with external consultants and advisers to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
Lead and manage individuals in the tax team
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting / Finance / Tax
- 8+ years of experience in relevant position
- Combination of tax consultant working experience and commercial background such as start-ups would be preferred
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance systems and automation
- Proactive, self-driven, desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to gather and communication data logically, accurately, and concisely
Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
