The Tax Officer is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with local tax regulations. This role involves calculating tax liabilities, preparing tax returns, maintaining records, and advising management on tax-related matters to optimize tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports (e.g., PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh Badan, VAT).
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and updates (including e-faktur and e-bupot systems).
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax-related transactions.
- Handle tax audits, objections, appeals, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants when necessary.
- Support the finance team in monthly and yearly closing processes related to tax provisions.
- Analyze tax impact on transactions and provide recommendations for compliance and efficiency.
- Keep up to date with tax laws, rules, and practices in Indonesia.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Fiscal Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a tax-related role, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax reporting systems (e-Faktur, e-Bupot, DJP Online).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Accurate, SAP, or similar).
- Certification Brevet A & B preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and integrity.
