Primary Function:
- Develop insight driven channel strategy that enable profitable growth and gain share across channels while helping the retailers in the channel to grow the categories.
- Bring value to our business and also partner retailers to propel us to become category leader ahead of competitors.
- Develop and support the team capabilities and improve engagement quality with retailers in the areas.
- Build an agile and learning organization by putting in place robust measurement, evaluation and deeper understanding on the effectiveness of each activities in the channel / customer which will improve channel profitability, better trade spends management and allocation.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct Category, Shopper Research & Sales Analytics
- Develop Channel Strategy & Plan in sync with Marketing & Ethical Activities and Market Dynamics (His/her channel responsibilities will be expanded to also managing Ethical channel especially Pharmacy) Regular Review and Adjustment if necessary. Supporting the team in building Regional / Area Planning.
- Translate Channel Strategy into relevant and robust customer Plan & Activities Calendar. Supporting account management and Field sales team to operationalize the strategy down to the customer level
- Managing Trade Spend (Gross to Net and A&P). Ensure SOP compliance and good governance on trade spend, leading Trade Promotion Management initiatives for 2021 and Trade Promotion Excellence (Channel & Customer Profitability, promotion evaluation to ensure better trade spend allocation)
- Ensure High standard of execution (flawless execution) & Operational excellence. Support the team with proper materials and tools to ensure Picture of success execution ( Perfect Store Project Roll Out, execution guidelines )
- Regular Engagement with key customers. Supporting the team to unlock business opportunities with key customers to enable value creation (grow our business and the category), step change our credibility as the category expert and leader. Involve heavily in Joint Business Planning, Top to top and business review with key customers.
- Engagement with 3rd Parties such as Distributor and Agencies (PG , Merchandisers and Nielsen) to ensure Expanded role from the current as he/she will be managing PG (transferred from marketing)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Channel / Trade Marketing / Shopper Marketing in FMCG industry, managing multiple categories
- Field Sales/Account management experience for minimum 2 years
- Experienced in leading Trade Marketing Department preferred
- Having a good command of English for both verbal and written
- Strong stakeholder management skills
