About the Role
As a Data Analyst in Lending at Amartha, you will play a key role in generating insights that drive strategic lending decisions across secured and unsecured products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and interpret data, ensuring that recommendations are accurate, actionable, and aligned with Amartha’s business objectives. While this role focuses on lending data analytics, we’re open to candidates with experience in related areas such as product or risk analytics, as long as they bring strong analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze lending performance data across secured and unsecured products to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making for Product, Operations, Risk, and Leadership teams
- Develop and execute data queries, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of insights
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Monitor and evaluate lending KPIs, OKRs, and operational metrics to track performance against targets
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve lending processes, risk management, and product performance
- Support initiatives in automation, predictive modeling, and data quality improvement
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy policies, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics in fintech, banking, or lending platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
- Familiarity with lending processes, credit risk metrics, and financial KPIs is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with Python, R, or statistical modeling is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
