What You Will Do:
This is a new role and location for us so identified as part of our research as a destination of high potential growth, so an exciting opportunity to make your mark in retail digital technology and grow your own territory for Giant Pumpkin.
You will be required to be on the ground visiting and keeping clients updated. Travel will form a key part of this role, so being able to travel at short notice both inside Indonesia and across South East Asia is a must.
Requirements
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through researching the market, potential clients and utilise your strong network to drive results.
- Build and maintain great client relationships. For us this is key to business development. We want to maintain strong relationships with the right kind of clients.
- Create and implement a business development plan and strategies specifically designed for the Indonesian market. Set challenging but realistic goals and achieve growth targets and develop a new territory to enable Giant Pumpkin to become the go-to company.
- Negotiate client contracts and close new deals ensuring a win-win mentality.
- Analyse market trends and keep on top of market developments and industry trends. You will be expected to create and own competitor sets, present market and territory trends and own your own forecast.
- Continuously and accurately track key performance and report on progress to management and relevant departments as defined.
- Collaborate with frontline sales and support teams on the collection and input of data into systems as per SOPs.
- Be curious about people, products and have an eagle eye for spotting new opportunities and making that first move with potential leads.
- Own your results - you will be required to define, achieve and exceed sales targets in this role.
How Will Your Success Be Measured:
- % of new business that you bring in QBQ and YOY.
- Average number of cold reach out QBQ that turn into actual clients.
- % of revenue and profit margin per account.
- Peer feedback - we value collaboration and this role will require great and regular communications with our Bangkok HQ sales and support team.
Who We Are Looking For:
- An Indonesian national with native level fluency of spoken and written Bahasa language and English.
- Ideally you will be based in Jakarta, be able to drive and be willing to be on the go meeting clients day-to-day.
- You will be a natural hunter able to sniff out and zone in on new potential clients through your strong network of retail, QSR or enterprise sales black book.
- Reporting savvy you can use EXCEL, Google Suite and communications systems such as Slack with ease.
- You will be systems savvy with proven experience recording data and using CRMs.
- You are a natural communicator able to gain confidence and trust quickly and drive the narrative with leads that leads to them becoming clients.
- You will bring strong attention to detail to your work, owning processes and proactively refining them so that the processes work for you to drive results.
- Bachelor degree in any subject - we value experience over education and if you are an established business development professional but lack a degree - we still want to hear from you!
