About the Role:
Wiley is seeking a proactive and strategic Enterprise Business Development Manager/Senior Manager to lead business development efforts in Indonesia. This role will focus on generating new leads with universities, building relationships with key buying influencers, including Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Deans, and other senior decision-makers, and converting these opportunities into customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise sales and a deep understanding of the higher education sector in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify, develop, and manage new enterprise business opportunities with universities and higher education institutions in Indonesia.
- Build and nurture relationships with key buying influencers, including university Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Deans, and other senior decision-makers, to drive engagement and opportunities.
- Present tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of academic institutions, positioning Wiley’s products and services as essential to their success.
- Lead the entire sales process, from lead generation and engagement through to contract negotiation and closure.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to align business development strategies with the market and institutional needs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and institutional challenges to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline progression, and customer interactions, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, enterprise sales, or a similar role, ideally within the higher education or institutional sector.
- Strong knowledge of the academic and university landscape in Indonesia.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly with senior university leaders such as Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and Deans.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and close deals effectively.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions to key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales management tools.
- Willingness to travel within Indonesia as needed.
