Job Title: Medical Doctor (Integrative Medicine)

Job Summary:

Medical Doctor (Integrative Medicine) provides comprehensive medical care, focusing on the integration of conventional medical practices with natural and holistic therapies to promote overall patient well-being, as a gatekeeper on the holistic wellness approach based on Bali Healing Philosophy.

This role involves patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and the implementation of both traditional and natural medicine approaches.

They contribute to a patient-centered approach, emphasizing prevention, health education, and lifestyle modification alongside beauty program treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Natural & Holistic Medicine Integration:

• Knowledge of Natural Therapies: Demonstrate a strong understanding of natural health principles, including nutrition, herbal medicine, supplements, detoxification, and mind-body techniques.
• Integrative Treatment Planning: Incorporate natural and holistic therapies into treatment plans, educating patients about their benefits and potential risks.
• Integration of Holistic Therapies: Actively incorporate natural therapies and holistic approaches (e.g., herbal remedies, meditation) into treatment plans, respecting the Bali Healing Philosophy.
• Wellness & Prevention: Emphasize preventative care and health promotion, providing guidance on healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, stress management, and exercise.
• Education & Patient Counseling: Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options (both conventional and natural), and self-care strategies. Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications to support health and beauty goals.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.
• Collaborate with beauty program specialists to integrate holistic health concepts into aesthetic treatments.
• Guide patients on lifestyle choices and natural remedies that complement beauty treatments.

2. Patient Care & Consultation:

• Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and assessments of current health status, cosmetic concerns, and lifestyle factors.
• Diagnosis & Treatment Planning: Diagnose medical conditions, considering both conventional and alternative/natural medicine approaches. Develop individualized treatment plans, integrating appropriate therapies and lifestyle recommendations.
• Ordering & Interpreting Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging studies, and other relevant investigations, as needed.
• Treatment Implementation: Prescribe medications (where applicable and licensed), administer treatments (e.g., Ozone therapy, Detox Program, vitamin injections, IV drips, PRP), and oversee the delivery of treatments by qualified staff.
• Cosmetic Procedures (Depending on Scope & Licenses): May perform or supervise minor cosmetic procedures like Natural Botox, dermal fillers, and other non-surgical aesthetic treatments, if appropriately licensed and trained. This should be specified in the job description.
• Referrals: Refer patients to specialists, other healthcare providers, and other practitioners (e.g., osteopath, physio expert, naturopath, nutritionists within Bali Healing premise) as appropriate.

3. Collaboration & Teamwork:

• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the center (e.g., naturopath, osteopath, physio experts, reiki theta healing experts, hypnotherapist, and other therapists) to provide comprehensive, integrated care.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, staff, and other healthcare providers.
• Case Conferences: Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient cases and share expertise.

4. Clinical Documentation & Administration:

• Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medical histories, examination findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and test results.
• Documentation: Complete necessary documentation for billing, insurance claims, and regulatory requirements.
• Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in both conventional and natural medicine through continuing education, training, and professional development.

5. Other Responsibilities:

• Develop Treatment Protocols: Help develop standard operating procedures and treatment protocols for various conditions
• Research & Development: Participate in research projects or clinical trials (where applicable).
• Marketing & Education: Contribute to the center's marketing efforts by writing articles, giving presentations, or participating in promotional events.
• Supervision: Supervising junior staff and other medical staff.
• Maintain knowledge of and stay updated on the latest research and advancements in integrative medicine.

Job Qualification:

• Education:
• Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited medical school in Indonesia.
• Licensure: Current and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the relevant state/country of Indonesia.
• Specialized Training (Preferred):
• Certification or advanced training in integrative medicine, functional medicine, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Training in aesthetic medicine or cosmetic procedures is beneficial.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a licensed physician.
• Experience or a strong interest in natural and holistic medicine is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting, ideally working with a diverse patient population.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Clinical Skills: Excellent diagnostic, assessment, and clinical skills. Proficiency in physical examination and diagnostic procedures.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of conventional medical principles, diseases, and treatments. Understanding of natural and holistic health practices, including nutrition, herbal medicine, and mind-body techniques.
• Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Patient-Centered Care: Commitment to providing patient-centered care, with a focus on individualized treatment plans and patient empowerment.
• Professionalism: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications:
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Additional certifications relevant to cosmetic procedures or natural health may be required.
• We are only preferred with candidates that already live and domicile in Bali, due to we are not providing any relocation benefit.
