We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist with 3–4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and providing support for payroll-related inquiries. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain efficient payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for multi-state or multi-entity operations on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Review and verify timekeeping records and payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Calculate and process employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
Manage and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee queries, and post-payroll adjustments.
Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
Stay updated with labor law changes and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3–4 years of payroll experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
