People Partner
People Partner Lead role offers job for supports an assigned client group of mid-sized Business Units. Provide operational/technical support, project management and quality consulting support to the business unit and/or HR Partner in identifying and implementing appropriate employee strategies and solutions to support business unit objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provides HR advice and consulting to client base directly and/or via support of HR Business Partners
• Provides support and champion DEI efforts, Employee Engagement Efforts, Stars of Excellent, Programs & Initiatives underway that require HR Support (example • Investment Division Rotation Program, 2YR Analyst program); RTO
• Partner with line management on a variety employee issues
• Provide effective delivery of HR services to the division i.e. staffing, job evaluation, training, consulting support
• Lead and/or partner on annual HR initiatives such as performance management and the annual compensation cycle
• Provide employee career and / or performance counseling on an as-required basis
• Assist in the implementation of HR plans and initiatives which support business unit objectives
• Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies and practices in the business unit
• Assist with a variety of HR projects. Conduct research, analyze data and prepare recommendations.
• May participate in corporate-wide initiatives and project work
• Anticipate emerging management information requirements and seek opportunities to feed information into decision making processes
• Partner with shared services business organization to ensure clients receive high quality services which meet department objectives
• Assist in the identification of frontline and mid-level talent to ensure talent
• Ensure company policy and legislative compliance (Canadian and U.S.) for all HR related processes
Required Qualifications:
• Min Bachelor Degree. in HR or related field preferred
• 6 year progressive HR specialist experience and/or equivalent business experience
• Appropriate HR industry related courses

• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships
• Effective conflict management skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of the mission, vision, culture, mandate and operational challenges of both the business unit and the division
• Understanding of the company’s direction and values
• Effective influence skills with the ability to achieve results through others
• Good consulting skills and the ability to diagnose and resource appropriately to meet client needs
• Willingness and ability to learn from others (internally and externally) and from experience’ capacity for changing behaviors and adopting new skill sets’ exhibits curiosity and openness to change
• Solid HR specialist knowledge in one HR discipline
• Good generalist understanding of other HR disciplines
• Developing ability in several disciplines to anticipate change and exercise flexibility and judgment in assessing issues in a dynamic environment
• Developing understanding of change management principles
• Ability to recognize strategic or significant employee related trends
• Ability to coach others
