The Product Development Associate role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, contributing directly to the creation and enhancement of products that align with our company's mission to deliver exceptional value and solutions to our customers. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring that each product meets market needs and enhances our competitive edge. Position Responsibilities:
- Work with various distribution channels and partners, namely Agency, Partnership Distribution and Corporate Distribution to understand distributor and/or customer product needs, as well asdevelop high level product framework designed to address the needs identified. This can be done in the form of Focus Group Discussion or survey. This will also include working with the Product Pricing to develop product specifications and thereafter, consulting and obtaining feedback from distribution channels and /or customers.
- Responsible for preparing and managing Product Development Committee meeting, comprising of Distribution/Channels, Operation, Finance/Actuarial, IT & System Development, Project Management, Customer Office & Marketing Communication and Legal & Compliance team, with the aim of ensuring product development, implementation and launch.
- Responsible for attaining and documenting product approvals from regulator and managing good communication & relationship with regulators. You also will be responsible to adjust the current provision or any document in regards to new regulation stipulated by regulators.
- Work with various departments, as well as with the training and marketing functions to develop product story boards, including training materials, marketing collaterals, sales tools, and marketing activities for the respective distribution channels to facilitate the launch and sales of products. This will include working with the communications function to develop a marketing pitch for the press and the general public.
- Create & oversight of Illustration and Illustration System as one of sales tool to support sales force.
- Working with other product development function to compile competitive product intelligence and analysis, as well as competitive product marketing intelligence, and ensuring the relevant dynamics are documented and communicated, as well as ensuring market and competitive related decisions are worked into the product management process.
Required Qualifications:
- Has a bachelor degree in Social Science, Actuarial Science,
- Preferable has Insurance certification (if any is a plus)
- Minimum of 1-4 years in Life Insurance of Product Development or related, Financial Services, preferably in Banking or Insurance.
- Has knowledge of insurance and wealth management products is a plus.
- Has management skills.
- Good communication skills and able to work collaborative with others department
- High concern for order and quality; accuracy, work standards and timely delivery of service.
