1. Duties and Responsibilities
Through the induction process with the Proforest Indonesia team, the intern will be assigned supervisor(s) to select several topics as part of his/her focus throughout the duration of the internship period. Such topics will cover, but not limited to, the following.
1.1 Support on Financial and Non-Financial Inputs
Background: Proforest has various backgrounds of financial and non-financial inputs. We will manage to introduce vendor and bank payments, including the flow to understand the accounting entries.
Tasks: Entry backdated data to the financial system (Accurate) as commanded by the supervisor.
1.2 Provide Simple Financial Data Analysis and Various Reportings
Background: Proforest produces reports and financial analysis on a regular basis for its internal party. Corresponding to our needs, the successful interns need to crunch some data along with basic spreadsheet skills.
Tasks: to work on data analysis and various reportings with several basic excel formulas.
1.3 Provide administrative support to on-going Proforest projects and programmes
Background: The Proforest team in Jakarta office comprises specialized individuals who are managing many projects and programmes. Therefore, additional administrative support would allow Proforest staff to focus their attention to priority tasks.
Tasks:
To provide ad hoc administrative and technical support to Proforest staff as and when required. The support required will vary from time to time but can be expected to include the following:
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations (with guidance from the finance manager)
- Preparation of tables & charts
- Conduct web searches and literature review on specific topics
- Organize resource materials and filing systems
- And other administrative supports as necessary, including tasks in relation to events to be organized by Proforest in Indonesia.
2. Learning Opportunities
- General understanding of finance and non-finance entries (accounting entries) including practical way to understand the flow of the business commercials.
- Improve general skills to better understand various finance and non-finance reportings.
- Insight and hands-on experience of Proforest’s approach, work systems and project management financial processes.
3. Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Education: Basic degree
- Field of Study: Economics, Management, Accounting and other related courses.
- Language Skills: English, Bahasa Indonesia
- Other Skills: MS Office software
