Position Purpose:
The Project Coordinator 1 reports to a Systems/Platform PM or an Engineering Supervisor, and with the Program Manager is responsible to coordinate all activities related to the projects assigned. These responsibilities include leading multi-disciplined teams through the Product Life Cycle (PLC). The Coordinator is accountable for all hardware procurement to support all testing and customer shipments. This position may have contact with both suppliers and customers.
Essential Functions:
Create and maintain project schedules using project management tools
Manage and track Project Schedule, Budget, and CTC (within PLC process), and report out at project status meetings and project reviews, as needed
Coordinate/track and expedite all hardware needed to support testing and customer shipments
Read and execute MRP to meet schedule requirements
Track and update resource requirements for all assigned projects
Facilitate project issues with various functional areas of the company and with suppliers and customers
Participate in project status meetings and maintain action item lists
Coordinate and review Engineering Changes for assigned projects with supervision from other Project Coordinators and Project Managers
Assist with Gate presentations and WPDS management
Other Essential Functions:
Support profit planning as necessary
Support SPAP and PPAP activities as required
Identify and work to resolve all conflicts encountered on assigned projects
Prioritize work assignments in support areas for development projects
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management inside Woodward
Competent in the use of PC's and associated software (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Basic knowledge of WISE/SAP applications such as Bill of Material, Engineering Change, and Planning screens
Knowledge of the PLC process
Ability to effectively operate and lead in a project team environment while receiving high level project management oversight
Responsive and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks on assigned projects
Ability to contribute to the department and team on process improvement activities
Education:
US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
US – High School Diploma
Experience:
Experience in similar job function (e.g. Development Project Coordination, Production Planning, NPI Processes)
