Avery Dennison RBIS Indonesia has business engagement with customers who are exporters of Apparel, Footwear, Home Textiles and Sports goods. The Indonesia manufacturing site of ADID is in BIIE Lippo CIkarang West Java & Candi Industrial Estate Semarang, Central Java, but customer spread is in other parts of the country as well.
Job Description
Acts as a Project & ELS Assistant Manager for targeted business-unit or corporate-wide initiatives. Project & ELS Assistant Managers will be managing large infrastructure programs and projects simultaneously. The goal of the Project & ELS Assistant Manager is directed at achieving specific results for the business unit and/or company.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
- Work with management teams to translate strategic objectives into executable projects, and to develop plans for achieving stated objectives. Provide executives with project risk assessments and summary level project status reports.
- Develop budget for project(s) and keep within budget.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, raise AFE & status reports.
- Leading the rapid & flawless execution of high-profile cross-functional projects.
- Create detailed project plans that explicitly align the efforts of multiple functional specialties (e.g. Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, other).
- Leverage Design for Lean Sigma methods & tools to: accelerate project timelines, encourage cross-functional collaboration, and build quality into projects from the outset.
- Ensure teams meet or exceed anticipated project benefits on-time, within budget, and with the desired level of quality.
- Work effectively with internal and external clients, third party vendors, and senior management in accomplishing project objectives.
- Partner with site leaders to train and deploy Enterprise Lean Sigma practices.
- Own ELS assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Support the select core implementation team members and introduce them to: value stream management process, 5S, visual controls, VSM, Kanban, Daily MDI, etc.
- Develop ELS training plans, site’s trainers and track progress.
- Monitor the team’s progress in applying the Enterprise Lean Sigma techniques
- Review current and future state value stream maps and kaizen proposals.
- Apply Enterprise Lean Sigma assessment throughout the site and participate on ELS site assessments.
- Lead site’s layout and flow process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related.
- 6+ years of relevant experience with proven success as a Project Leader or Manager.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Subject matter expertise and/or consultation and project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation.
- Knowledge of the assigned business area’s products and processes; experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business.
- Excellent facilitation, customer service, relationship building and communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills with knowledge of Excel or Project Management tracking software (e.g. Microsoft Project).
- Experience with applying ELS / DfLS (six sigma and lean manufacturing) methods & tools preferred.
- Comfort and confidence in interacting with / presenting to all levels in an organization
- Strong business acumen. Ability to influence effectively without authority.
