Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work and collaborate to empower the most vulnerable children, family and community through community development, advocacy, and emergency response for sustainable transformation regardless of religion, race, ethnic or gender.
Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVI’s accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.
Key Responsibilities:
  • This position will be responsible to promote brand awareness and public engagement among targeted audience and main stakeholder groups by conducting media relations activities (offline & online), public figure & Hope Ambassador exposure by conducting through experimental events with WV Indonesia, managing volunteers thorugh activities or/and events, ensuring brand visibility on public places through events and/or collaboration with external parties.
Strategy Development & Planning
  • Develop annual strategy & implementation for Public Communications in consultation with Public Engagement and Communications Head, key stakeholders at across departmental.
  • Provide strategic plan leverage WVI’s program from the AP level to the national level for external publics
  • Provide strategic functions for the implementation of Child Protection/Safeguarding policy within various stakeholders in every WV event/Program
  • Lead the dissemination and exposure of communications products produced by Wahana Visi Indonesia to external wider Public
  • Design Hope Ambassador, Senior Talks, Influencer engagement activities (incl. key message) and liaise with Campaign & Event Executive and acquisition and retention teams as needed
  • Design & managing volunteers journey through activity and engagement event, in coordination with cross department
  • Monitor and analyse engagement level throughout all events
  • Prepare necessary collaterals for the public engagement
Resource Acquisition & Management
  • Develop Integrated Public Engagement Campaign Plan as tools for leverage organization brand awareness and public engagement with deep consultation with Public Engagement and Communication Head.
  • Build relationship with Media (mainstream & Digital) as and strategic partner with and attractive experimental and exposure program
  • Close coordination with other department to create appealing program to be exposed to public engagement and experience journey.
Capacity Building
  • Support field offices and other internal department/units/ programs in exposing WV Works and create opportunity for public engagement like celebrity involvement and media exposure
  • Support field offices / partners have capacity in building relationship with media (local & national)
  • Implement Public Engagement & Communications capacity building strategy and plan in close coordination with Operations, People & Culture and Regional Office
Networking & Coordination
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination meeting periodically to ensure the implementation of work plan
  • Coordinate internal unit/department/project meeting at least in monthly basis.
  • Become one of the main Brand Gatekeepers for Wahana Visi Indonesia
  • Create / find opportunities for WVI’s best stories exposed in public event.
  • Actively engaged in public event to maintain WVI’s existence among targeted audience
  • Responsible of organization reputation risk. Monitoring Media/Public Sentiment (Positive/Negative) of Wahana Visi Indonesia and be able analyze the reputation risk of organization activities.
Management and Leadership
  • Actively support enabling and positive team environment where staff are able to develop their spiritual gifts and grow in Christian maturity.
  • Actively participate Christian leadership and support to enrich the organisation’s life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
The Qualifications :
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Communications/ Journalism/Management/Public Relations (Master degree is preferable)
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in Public Relations industry related Reputation and Media
  • Minimum 3 years in project management of production of diverse and creative communications products for media consumption or/and public brand visibility
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong writing and editorial abilities.
  • Strong ability to write interview talking points and opinion pieces
  • Excellent skill of MS Offices, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
